Elizabeth Kraus, MA, MHt., MRT.
is an experienced Hypnotherapist and Reiki Master re-launching her practice following a hiatus to raise her family. Previously she operated a private practice in both NJ and NY. She received her BA in Psychology from the State University of New York, College at Plattsburgh in 1987 and her MA in Psychology for Marymount University in 1993. While studying for her MA degree she became disillusioned with the Psychology’s need to label (diagnose) clients in order to get paid by insurance and began searching for alternative means of helping others heal themselves. She found those means in the fields of Hypnotherapy and Reiki. Elizabeth became a Certified Hypnotherapist in 1993 and a Master Certified Hypnotherapist in 1994. While training as a Hypnotherapist, Elizabeth was introduced to Reiki and became a Reiki Level I Practitioner in 1994 and received her Level II and Master Reiki Teacher Certification in 2000.
Elizabeth believes that we all have within us what we need to heal ourselves in body, mind and spirit but, that sometimes, we need a little help remembering and accessing this ability. She uses hypnosis and/or Reiki to help put clients back in touch with themselves and their ability to heal themselves.
